Riding in La Grave

Mountain biking in La Grave is best from mid-June to mid-November.

La Grave is located at 1450m (4757 ft) so the temperatures stay nice even during the hottest times of the summer. The Télépherique is typically open from mid-June until mid-September, and our neighboring resorts normally close at the end of August. So if you would like to ride lifts, make sure to come during the summer months. From riding through fields of alpine flowers next to snow patches early in the season and eventually into the changing colors of September, summers are amazing in La Grave!

The autumn here in the Hautes Alpes is incredibly beautiful. The temperatures can be perfect for long rides beside the glowing yellow larch trees and red alpine heather. There are no lifts running after mid-September, but the enduro rides are absolutely incredible this time of year.

La Grave is located in the Hautes Alpes, just on the edge of the Parc National des Écrins. We are between Grenoble and Briançon.
